Scheduling & Automating Report Delivery

Updated August 2026

You can schedule reports to be delivered automatically, so you don't need to generate and send them manually each time.

Scheduled reports are useful for regular financial updates, management reporting, and recurring business reviews.

Prerequisites

Before scheduling a report, make sure you:

  • Have an existing report
  • Have access to Reports and AI Agents.

Tip: Customize and review your report before setting up a schedule. Scheduled deliveries use the report configuration you have saved.

Schedule a Report

To schedule a report:

  • Open AI Agents.
  • Select Report Generation.
  • Enter a task name (optional).
  • Enter the topic you want to cover in your report (e.g., Financial performance for Q1 2026).
  • Add any additional instructions, such as specific metrics, comparisons, or trends you want the report to cover.
  • Select Schedule Once.
  • Set the date and time when you want to receive the report.
  • Click Schedule Task.

Once the schedule is active, ELECTE will automatically deliver the report according to the selected schedule.

Choose a Delivery Frequency

Depending on the available options, you can choose how often the report should be delivered.

To set up a recurring task, follow these steps:

  • Open AI Agents.
  • Select Report Generation.
  • Enter a task name (optional).
  • Enter the topic you want to cover in your report (e.g., Financial performance for Q1 2026).
  • Add any additional instructions, such as specific metrics, comparisons, or trends you want the report to cover.
  • Select Recurring.
  • Set the frequency (daily, weekly, monthly) and time when you want to receive the report.
  • Click Create Schedule.

Tips and Best Practices

  • Choose an appropriate frequency. Daily delivery may be unnecessary for reports that change only once a month.
  • Protect sensitive information. Only send reports to authorized recipients.
  • Update the schedule when the report changes. Make sure the scheduled version reflects the information you want to share.

Troubleshooting

The report was not delivered

Check that the schedule is enabled. If the schedule is active but the report was not delivered, check whether the report itself has any errors and try running it manually.

The report contains outdated data

Make sure the connected data sources are updating successfully. For sync-related issues, see What to Do When a Sync Fails.
