Our platform is designed to help you manage your organization's data securely and support common privacy and compliance requirements.
Depending on where your organization and users are located, regulations such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) may apply.
This article explains how to manage data retention and deletion requests, and where to find compliance documentation.
Prerequisites
To manage privacy and compliance settings, you need:
- An active account
- Administrator access to your workspace
- Access to Workspace Settings, depending on your account configuration
Export Your Data
You can download a copy of your workspace data in JSON format. This allows you to keep a copy of your data or transfer it to another service.
The data export feature is designed to support data portability requirements under GDPR Article 20.
To export your workspace data:
- Go to Workspace in the sidebar.
- Scroll down the page.
- Find Export Your Data.
- Click Request Data Export.
- Download the generated JSON file.
Note: Depending on the size of your workspace, generating the export may take some time.

Data retention determines how long certain data is stored in the platform.
To review your data retention settings:
- Sign in to your account.
- Click Workspace in the sidebar.
- Scroll down the page.
- Find Data Retention.

If you need to delete personal data, delete the workspace or contact our support team.
To delete your workspace:

- Click Workspace in the sidebar.
- Scroll down the page.
- Find Danger zone.
- Click Delete Workspace.
Important: Deleting a workspace is permanent and cannot be undone.
Compliance Documentation
You can access compliance and security documentation to support your organization's privacy.
Depending on your account, available documentation may include:
- Privacy Policy
- Data Processing Agreement (DPA)
- Security Whitepaper
- Subprocessor information
- SOC 2 Type II report

Tips and Common Mistakes
- Review your workspace regularly. Check your users, data, and permissions to make sure everything is still up to date.
- Export before you delete. Download your workspace data if you need to keep a copy before deleting the workspace.
- Limit access to sensitive data. Use appropriate user permissions to control who can access your workspace.
